BRAVO, ERIC! What a wonderful way to show an event as it happens! I do like this use of Animoto, all pictures on one events, rather than different pictures on different events.

And bravo, Paris! Shut the Chinese games down, I say.

Thanks for braving the streets for us Eric! Good for Paris. We are having the same reaction in San Francisco. Hopefully, all will remain civil and no one gets hurt.

Great job, Eric! You're so brave! How exciting to have been there. Wonderful photos.

I don't know if I agree with Vicky or not; though my first reaction is to boycott the games, I've heard others say shutting the Chinese out of modern society does nothing to teach them about human rights, and that we must engage with them to bring them forward. I don't know the answers, but I'm glad to see people getting involved in nonviolent protest and making this issue heard loud and clear around the world.

Is that a piece of Eiffel Tower, right in the beginning? ;)

Well done, and thanks for posting. Interesting choice of music! Somehow it seems appropriate.

As to the Olympics, well, I don't know if I agree with the boycott idea. What about the athletes? Has anyone asked them how it feels to be the center of a controversy they have nothing to do with? I mean these people have trained their entire life to be where they are now... They have nothing to do with Tibet. I don't know. Doesn't seem fair to them. I'm not sure there is a "right or wrong" answer there.

Great job, Eric!

(However, I would prefer a slide show or ordinary photos.)

I just think it is so sad that the whole basis for the Olympics seems to be ignored at this time. The whole idea behind the Olympics to me is friendship and harmony and learning to live with each other even though we are different.

I am not saying that China is a wonderful government or that any government in the world is better or worse than any other. I'm simply saying that politics are not what these games are about. And for the thousands of men and women who have worked and sacrificed and trained for months and years and sometimes decades to be denied their dreams of competing in the Olympics is more than just plain mean. To crush their dreams for the sake of politics is not my idea of what the Olympics should be at all.

I know that it is only my opinion, but I have always loved the Olympics since I was a young girl and even now would love to be a part of it someday. To me, it could be the noblest expression of all that is good in this world. Instead, people like to use it as a stage to point out what is wrong with the world.

Just makes me sad.

What a fabulous way to present a series of photographs - super photographs of this event. The presentation is the most artistic I've ever seen. Be good if the News were presented in this way.

Well done for taking all these photos. I believe the same happened in London. The flame ended up being transported on a bus!

Wow, what a great presentation! So dyamic.

They are predicting a lot of protests here tomorrow in SF, or even cancelling the Torch ceremony.

Too bad you weren't in San Francisco to capture some photos, too!

thank you so much for sharing your photos w/ us. I'm not going to comment on the political aspect of the upcoming Olympic games; we all have our own opinions but I do want to let you know how much I love reading your blog and I especially liked the Animoto feature.
