Oh! I like this photo much better. Such a beautiful view. Since I will never get to Paris, I enjoy your mini tours of Paris, each day.
This photo nearly brings me to tears -- the lovely kind! May Saint Genevieve pray to bring me back to the city she watches over very soon!
I can't believe I've never noticed this statue before! It's a beautiful picture. Aren't there statues of St. Genevieve in Jardin du Luxembourg also?
This view is stunning.
Eric, this is a very special photograph. Thanks for sharing.
This is a wonderful picture. I never saw St Genevieve when we were in Paris, and will be sure to look for her on the next trip (have no idea when, but I have hope in my heart!)
When I visited Notre Dame, how in the world did I miss that beautiful statue????
Fantastic photo, Eric! Virginia...I too wonder how I missed seeing this statue. Thanks to Eric we'll have to take a walk on the Pont de la Tournelle (sp?) next time we're in the land of the grape!
My grandmother, who was from Quimper en Bretagne had a statue of Sainte Geneviève in her kitchen next to her "favorite" Saint Francis of Assisi.I believe there was also a song she sang about Sainte Geneviève, does this sound familiar to you?
